I am from San Jose, California and graduated from Leland High School. I am fond of reading and music which have been influential in my personal hobbies. I play the piano, danced through most of my life, and have always enjoyed being active; whether it's outdoors or on the ice. I chose to move to Arizona after spending my college career in the northeast corner of Utah; an extremely cold place to be during the winter. However, I fell in love with activities that allowed me to be outside and exploring. During my time in college I was able to spend six months in Japan, learning the language and culture. I will say that traveling and visiting different countries is something I would love to do more. My favorite place to be and reflect is either in the woods or at the ocean. Once moving to Arizona I decided that I wanted to work with children and share with them my love of learning. I entered the classroom in 2006 and haven't looked back since. My journey has taken me into the lives of 5th graders through 12th graders and taught me more about myself as an educator than any continuing education course. My latest adventure has taken me to the Pacific Northwest where I am continuing to learn and grow as an educator.
